Gymnasium Flood - El Dorado County
1/11/2018 (Permalink)
SERVPRO of El Dorado Hills/Placerville knows/expects emergency calls to come in when the first major rain of the year hits our county.
One of our first calls of the season happened to be a school that experienced a "roof leak" over the weekend, and was discovered Monday morning by the employees. Unfortunately, the drain system on the roof had a malfunction, causing rain water to gush into the gymnasium, down an exterior wall, and under the thick maple floor.
As a certified restoration company, SERVPRO of El Dorado Hills/Placerville attempts to dry a structure if there is a possibility to do so prior to taking away the affected floor and dry wall. With valiant efforts, we tried to dry this structure. Unfortunately, the water made its way under the hardwood flooring and protective moisture barrier, making it impossible to dry out.
SERVPRO of El Dorado Hills/Placerville removed affected materials, and brought in the best drywall and flooring companies around to complete the gymnasium in time for the school’s annual play! Call the experts today for your emergency loss – you’ll be happy you did!
