Here is one of our handy-dandy moisture meters! We use this on most, if not all, of our water and mold restoration jobs. The faster the meter "beeps", the more saturated the material is. If there is no "beep" at all, below the surface is not wet. This photo was taken after we cleaned an attic in Pollock Pines. This home had a rodent infestation and all of the insulation in the attic was soaked with feces, urine, and carcasses and was causing the rest of the home to smell. We removed the insulation, cleaned everything with a bio-cide and performed a duct cleaning for the owner.
